My Favorite International Stars...

When it comes to actors and actresses, I am very faithful on following the careers of my favorite stars. I am like crazy finding the DVD copies of their movies, and even taking part for their Best Actor or Best Actress campaigns in the Internet… Here are my favorites and I'll write something about them...

Actress:

3) Kate Winslet - Elegance, beauty and extraordinary talent, Kate is a certified future Oscar winner. Her performances in Titanic, Quills and Iris made her a true star, but my favorite performance of Kate is on Michel Gondry twisted romantic comedy, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Her passion to musical and stage acting serve to be her backbone in her very interesting career, plus it is undeniable that she is really hot…

2) Nicole Kidman – Nicole may just be the greatest actress of our new generation following the footsteps of Katherine Hepburn, Julie Andrews and Elizabeth Taylor, all she need is time… Giving an excellent string of performances from Moulin Rouge, The Hours, Cold Mountain and Dogville, she has already attained what is almost impossible for an ordinary actress. Nicole’s best performance in The Hours is considered to be one of the best ever performances recognized by the Academy. In all of these achievements, I just hope she’ll find good luck in marriage.

1) Audrey Tautou – She got my attention for the first time in the French film Amelie. For me, French hottie Audrey is the most charming actress in the world for giving a different touch of performance in her films especially in ‘Amelie’ and in the World War I epic film ‘A Very Long Engagement’. She is very busy right now filming the American movie Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks, I just hope she won’t be exploited by Hollywood taking stupid roles in stupid movies. I like her to be doing more films in Europe because I’m after the quality of her works and not about the number of zeros in her paycheck. Well, in few years time, more and more people will recognize her and they will think the same like me that she is the reincarnation of Audrey Hepburn (Breakfast At Tyffany’s).

3) Gael Garcia Bernal – He stars in Mexico’s most critically acclaimed films namely Amores Perros, El Crimen de Padre Amaro and Y tu Mama Tambien. Recently, he participated in other international films like The Motorcycle Diaries and Bad Education. As an actor, he is consistently giving above average performances in all his movies. I admire him because few actors are really serious on taking good roles over big income and fame, despite of this, he continuously becoming more popular.

2) Jude Law – I really wanted him to be the next James Bond. Jude is a kind of actor who can show an excellent performance in a mainstream film. My favorite performance of Jude is on Cold Mountain, together with Nicole Kidman and Renee Zellweger, they have a good chemistry together as an acting ensemble. Just like any good actors, he never looses grip on choosing good projects and good money. His role in AI and Alfie are both pretty surprising to me because of a different Jude in the silver screen. I just hope he chooses another project with Nicole Kidman!

1) Daniel Brühl – Currently the most popular actor in the European mainland, this good looking German Spanish actor seems to be a very talented one (for being able to speak in English, Spanish, French and German; for being a lead singer of a band; and mostly, for winning an armload of Best Actor Awards for his film ‘Good Bye Lenin!’ and ‘The Edukators’). Critics often compare him to Gael Garcia Bernal because both young actors are in the race of becoming the Best International Actor outside the US and the UK. By far, he is my most favorite actor because of his flexibility on playing roles with heavy and light themes. His sensitive role as an overprotective son in Good Bye Lenin! and his angry anti-capitalist persona in The Edukators are really contrasting in nature but he is consistently giving German Cinema a reason to go worldwide.
